I love students who choose "B" on a multiple choice question where the choices are F, G, H, and J....LOL....headin' straight to medical school, huh? Yes, please pay me according to how students who don't give a &*@# do on their test.
One of the many reasons that merit pay makes me nervous is that it seems to make the false assumption that all children are equally interested in and equally capable of learning. If this was true (and it isn't), it might be fair to blame teachers when a child isn't learning. But since it isn't true, reconciling it with merit pay seems like a real challenge.
